SKYVERS

The GWF (Galactic Work Federation) calls us “exo-scalers,” which is a mighty fancy term given by an organization that deems us “too ungovernable” to qualify for union contracts. We take the rougher terms with pride: permads (perma-nomads), grease drifters, pipe hitchers, and of course, the newly reclaimed skyvers. 

SKYVERS can be read as a supplement for sci-fi TTRPGs or as a standalone, fictional newsletter. I made it as a small world-building exercise for a Mothership campaign, inspired by the Rimwise series, and it centers a type of non-combat class that I'm calling "remoras." There aren't any mechanics written into this newsletter, so it's mostly meant as a tool for exploring speculative modes of living beyond militaristic and colonialist tropes.
